Privacy Policy

Towcore provides software that tow operators (“Operators”) use to run their businesses — dispatching, taking bookings, managing customers, and processing payments. In doing so, we handle two broad categories of data:

• Data we control: account and billing information for the Operators who subscribe to Towcore, and information collected through our marketing website.
• Data we process for Operators: information about an Operator’s own customers, vehicles, and jobs that the Operator (or its customers) enters into the Services. For this data the Operator is the controller and Towcore acts as a processor on the Operator’s behalf. If you are an Operator’s customer, please direct privacy requests to that Operator.

• Account information: name, business name, email, phone number, and login credentials.
• Booking and job information: service requested, pickup and destination locations, vehicle details, and contact information entered by Operators or their customers.
• Payment information: processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
• Location information: driver and job location data used to power live dispatch and customer tracking, collected while the relevant app is in use.
• Communications: SMS and call records sent or received through the Services (via providers such as Twilio) for status updates and coordination.
• Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, and log data about how the Services are used.

• Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
• Process bookings, dispatch jobs, send status notifications, and process payments.
• Authenticate users and secure accounts.
• Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
• Monitor and analyze usage to improve reliability and performance.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We share information only as needed to run the Services:

• Service providers (subprocessors): including Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS and voice), and our hosting and infrastructure providers, who process data on our instructions.
• Between Operators and their customers: booking and tracking details are shared as necessary to complete a job (for example, a customer sees driver location and ETA).
• Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Towcore, our users, or others.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell personal information.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect functionality.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Operator-controlled data is retained according to the Operator’s instructions and our agreement with them. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. If your data is controlled by an Operator, we will refer your request to that Operator.

The Services are intended for business use and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
